Searching around for a new fuel pump as mine is quite old and everything else in the fuel system is starting to break down. I notice a lot of fuel pumps that say theyre for the 85hp but have 2 brass nipples on them instead of the single one thats currently on my motor. My question is, are these both outputs, eliminating the need for a tee-splitter? I can buy a pump with the single brass nipple using the oem part number but theyre about 3x as expensive. Dumb question but im not used to boat motors. Thanks

on the parts place... they show a common pulse pump (pulsing vacum is at the rear) .... with one cover hose sucking gas via the cover filter and one exit nipple where the fuel output gets distributed.

Very common setup with lots of cheaper chineese pumps if you wish to save some $$$ Some don't like them some do

The pumps operate with a PRESSURE pulse.-----A 2 nipple pump mounts directly over the pulse port !---All you need on those is a nipple ( pump cover ) for fuel in.----And 1 nipple for fuel out.----The 3 nipple pumps do not mount directly over the pulse port.----No such thing as 2 outputs on these simple PRESSURE pulse pumps.

If price is a concern just get a rebuild kit for your existing pump.
