1978 Evinrude 85HP Tilt

I asked eariler, but thought I would ask again.

I replaced the soleniod, and stil it does nto go up or down with the button,
If I take the red wire, with the fuse, off the wire block and touch the green or blue it wil go down and up.
Am I suppose to have any voltage at the switch?
I checked and if I up a tester on the blue and push the up, it does not light up.
same for the green, I woudl guess I am suppose to have power there once I push the button?
Please help, I'm hoping the switch is just bad.

sounds like it might be a ground problem, it could be in the switch sounds like a good place to start.

You should have power going to the swith, when you push the swith it should open up a ciruct to alow power to flow down a different wire. Yes I think your switch is bad.
