ignition switch chirps but wont turn motor ,jumped across solinoid and it turns over,replaced key switch,still no luck.can faulty emergency cut off switch cause motor not to turn over?
No,it shouldn't,probably can't.What kind of cut off switch do you have? Back in 1978 I believe the only OMC accessory was a spring type attachment that physically turned the key back to off.<br /><br />DHP
