As the title says I'm leaking fuel. The leak is coming from where the fuel line connects to the motor there is a round metal housing that has a filter screen inside. I have already replaced the O-ring that seals it but it continues to slowly drip that precious liquid gold out of where it is SUPPOSED to seal. Any help is appreciated. I'm gonna go take a pic right now to post.

Well I went ahead and ordered a fuel pump gasket kit. And I replaced all my fuel lines as they looked horribly dry rotted.

I'm wondering if that metal cap (older mercs have plastic ones that become brittle and break. No longer available and when they were, held a price of about $70.00 USD) may be warped or have a hairline crack for some strange reason. The rubber seal should be all you need.

After I put seals in the pump ill tinker with it. I noticed it was leaking around the pump amd made me wonder if it just looked like the cap was leaking somehow.
