Hey all,

I havea 1978 Rinkerbuilt Tri-Hull...

The Transom is rotten...

I need to fix/replace it. The outside is part of the hull, so its fiberglass. The inside is just wood. So its not a sandwich type..

I was thinking of that pour in type stuff, but it says that you need to have an inner and outter shell.. So it would not work for my use...

I'm not quite sure what to do in order to fix it...

Thanks for the help.

-TheChad

You will likely have to tear out the old wood from the inside and put in new. You will not need to remove the outer fiberglass but may need to separate the top and bottom of the hull. Then again if you have good access from the inside and no inner shell you could be getting off easy and be able to replace the plywood transom from inside without cracking open the boat.

Does the floor run all the way back to the transom?
