My husband and I purchased a "1978" Seville I/O powerboat. Can't find any info regarding the mfg or electrical drawings, fuel tank size etc. Also I am trying to sound proof the engine box this week-end with this kit I bought, any helpful suggestions would be appreciated. I a newbie 1st mate and would like to participate in the entire boating exp. I just finished the 3 step star brite teak restoration process and we both sanded and bottom painted the hull last week-end. Our mechanic is dropping in a rebuilt 350 small block next week-end and I still can't find a manufactuer's guide or anything associated with this type of boat. Any help out there?

V/R

Seajen

My god, a wife that sands bottoms and does teak too! I am sooooo jealous! SeaJen i assume this boat is a searay seville an its got a mercruiser I/O . If i'm wrong, well beat me....wiring diagrams i cant help you with...arent many even made and the couple i've seen didn't agree with what the manufacturer put in the boat....the fuel tank should have a rating tag on top of it [where all the hoses hook on to it] which will have gallons capacity on it. if it is engine /gauge wiring you need help with a mercruiser service manual will help.

What is it about some women? I know a guy who say's his wife thinks his 26' Searay is a water taxi. It's only purpose is to carry her to and from resturants. I love to be out on the boat. I love tubing and skiing and going fast. I like crabbing and fishing and just watching the sunrise and the sunset out on the water. It's very relaxing! Some women just don't get it.

Seajen1

P.S. I even enjoy working on the boat, but I'd rather be overboard.

Any of you gals got a sister? I'm dating the wrong girls I guess. They all want to ride but work on it or help clean it? No way!

Not to throw my 2 cents in, but I will anyway  !

My future wife (1 year to go) and I reconstructed my first boat together. From the flooring to the bottom paint. Oh yeah and she sands better than anyone I know.

To bad I had registration problems and I am in search of a new hull now.
