1978 Stinray / Marquis Boat HELP!!!!

I am new to boating and recently purchased a used 1978 Stingray boat. I am desperatley attemping to locate an owners manual on this boat so I have a basic understanding of how the boat works.Anyone know where I might be able to get a copy of the boats manual??? I would be happy with even a photocopied version. Also I am a little confused about what type of boat I have. The manufacter plate on the boat states it was made by the Marquis Boat Company of Hartsville SC and the side of the boat says Stingray. I can't find anything of the Marquis Boat Company. Did the Marquis Boat company get taken over by the Stingray Boat Company? HELP!!!!!!<br /><br />Thanks for any help in advance!!!<br /><br />Todd

Al fink of Stingray boats did buy the plant but it was in Hartsville S.C. - after working for them till they closed. Could it be the home office was in Huntsville or you spelled the town name wrong? At the time it was Maruis Boats and the boats were named as such I thought? That's quite a find you have there as his first Stingray was built in 81 if I remember correctly. Intresting, and maybe you'd want to send e-mail addressed to Al Fink from their webpage at stingrayboats.com as it may also spark his intrest.
