I have owned the boat for 3 years & take great care of it. Had compression checked this year and it is 140, 140, 140, 140. I am very fortunate,

I'm having an issue with the tilt trim. It will not go up. Motor not running on up. Works fine going down. Have ran continuity test on toggle switch and it shows to be good. I'm also getting + 12 volts to the toggle switch on both sides. Checked the fuse in the rear box and it is good. Are there any circuit breakers involved that I need to be lookling at? Is there something I need to check on the Solenoid located in the back junction box?

I have a Clymer Shop Manual and I wish I had 2 of them. I would yes and use the other to cover it.

I'm lost guys and I need some help!!

Thanks

Does it click when you move the trim button to up? If not, you need to test to see if it is getting the signal from the switch in the handle. If it is getting power/signal from the switch, but does not click when signaled to, replace the solenoid. There is a wiring diagram on the inside of the box cover that should help with diagnosis. Also, look to make sure all the wires look good, and their connections are tight.

When I press the rocker arm switch to the up position, nothing clicks or makes any noise.

There are 3 wires going to the rocker arm switch on the handle. Red/white, blue/white and green/white. Red/white goes to the middle position and appears to be positive. When you depress the rocker arm down, it connects the red/white positive to the green/white negative through the rocker and thus, the motor goes down. when the rocker arm is depressed upward, it connects the red/white positive to the blue/white negative but the motor does not go up like it should.

I am getting 12v+ when I test volts between red/white and green/white and I get 12 volts + when I test red/white and blue/white so it appears I am getting correct voltage to the rocker arm.

I don't have a drawing on the inside of the junction box and the cylmer book makes no mention of replacing the solinod in an english presentation. I'm operating blind and have nothing to reference to in replacing the solinod which I am assuming is in the junction box.

The part number of the trim/tilt solenoid is: 581528. Just over $ 40.
