1979 150 Johnson not getting fuel

This all started out as a simply fix for the mechanically inclined. Ive rebuilt all three carburators and replaced both fuel pumps. Checked all fuel hoses for leaks and blockage and everything seems to be o.k. But Im still not getting gas.... The only thing I have not checked is the pressure to the fuel pump. Ill have a gauge tommorrow.(2psi) according to the manual. Any suggestions other than pressure.

You have a fuel primer bulb between the fuel tank and the engine. When you pump the fuel primer bulb, fuel is supplied to the fuel pumps, thru the fuel pumps, and to the carburetor float chambers.

At which point are you not getting fuel?

Or is the engine simply not running properly and this is your manner of explaining the problem? If so, you need to describe the problem more in detail.

Thanks for reply Joe. Im getting fuel through both fuel pump upper and lower.
I pulled hoses off each carb and am getting fuel to carb.

Okay, so now you are getting gas. Now, we need a explanation as to what your problem is.

Im gettin gas to the carbs, but thats it . Motor turns over but will not start with out assistance.

Mechanical choke working? Does the engine have spark on all 6? Do the plugs get wet when cranking? Engine have good compression?
