1979 chrysler 6hp

I have a 1979 6hp chrysler outboard that when i crank it will run for about 30 seconds then die any ideas what could be wrong and how to fix it would be appreciated

could be air leak in fuel system. Replacing the fuel line/primer bulb might fix.

Chip,<br /><br /> How long has it been since you ran the engine previously? It could be the fuel pump but certainly seems to be "fuel related."<br /><br />Shane

In addition to the above replies, you can get the carb rebuild and fuel pump kits at NAPA. They're not expensive.
