I have a boat motor that had a used lower end put on and before it went to mechanic's was running good until lower end went out. $900 later we have no power to go fast, we put a water/fuel seperator on and now it runs a little better, but now we have 3 spark plugs on the same side not firing. We assume this is out problem but cant figure out why, can anyone help with suggestions? Thanks

I would say your powerpack on that side is bad,you can swap with otherside to check,it connects to coils

If its the original power pack it probably just failed. Over time heat can work electonics over and cause them to fail. May not be anything you did. You can check the wires to make sure they are getting a good ground and make sure the others are connect well.

While the power packs are generally pretty reliable, they probably have the highest failure rate of any ignition component.
