Hello I have an 1979 Evinrude 85595r. Just after rebuilding engine new rings. This promble appeared before rebuilding engine. It was running very rough and used rev up now and then. So i did an igniting test on it and one of the power packs failed on the isolation diode test so i think that this is the problem. But then i tested the charge coil output and got 112v on the statport side and 78 on port . In the Manuel it said any thing below 160v and it would have to be replaced. But it also said use an CD voltmeter ??? i used an normally multi meeter Do ye think i will have to replace the charge coil?
