Took my 25 h.p. Johnson out to test a new prop shaft. It went into gear and prop turned just fine. I slowly brought it up to high RPM and after 1-2 minutes it overheated and died. I think i didn't get the water tube in correctly. Took it apart and made sure water line was hooked up, but when i tried to start it it was very hard to pull starter rope and i couldn't get it to fire. I read a post saying to remove the spark plugs and see if that frees it up, it did. Put in new plugs but still had the same issues. It turns over fine with spark plugs out but won't with them in. Not sure what to check next.
