1979 Johnson 25 hp - questions

Hello All,

I just pickup a 1979 Johnson 25hp motor, its electric start. It looks to me to have the starter button on the right side of the motor behind the tiller handle. Is that correct? Also, if that is the starter? where is the killer button? My older johnson had a kill button on the front of the motor. Last question, where can I get any mamuals for this motor. Thanks for your help!!! This site is great.

It's a tiller handle with electric start

do you have 2 black rubber push buttons on the front of the motor?...1 has 2 wires that go to the solenoid the other has a pin that goes over to the powerpack and a wire with a round connector that goes to ground?...if so....the 1 going to the solenoid is the start switch and the other is the shorting switch....if not..post back as the stop switch may be on the tiller handle
