Okay. The label on the trim unit is 70974R but the cowling has 75HP stamped on it. I don't know whether it is 70hp or 75. I have just gotten it as a project. It cranks and idles pretty good after I changed the fuel pump and gas lines. I also had to pull the flywheel and lube up the timing advance ring. It runs great for about a hundred yards and then limps back to the dock. It wants to choke down when I give it gas. bring it home it runs great in the driveway. I emptied the gas tank and cleaned it out but the gas looked great and had no signs of water. It doesn't want to run with the motor trimmed up much. A friend told me he had one that was the same as far as the trim goes. I don't trust my compression gauge but it says 90 pounds on each cylinder. I think it is probably a little more. I went ahead and changed the plugs while I had them out. They looked fairly normal but not new. It runs so good in the driveway and for about a hundred yards. I don't know whether to think it is electrical or fuel. I haven't touched the carbs except to change the hoses and put a gasket on that cover that catches gas and puts it back in the engine. Thanks, in advance for any ideas or experience. I don't have a lot of experience with 2 cycles.

Compression should be around 140 psi on that motor.----------Test with a good gauge.-----------They all sound good at home.------They sound good running on 2 of 3 cylinders.--------Got spark on all 3 ??
