new water pump which provides excellent water flow and volume from the bottom of the heads.

removed t stat housing and all parts looked ok but decided to change anyway.

the question I have is reguarding the cork gasket on the t stat. The BRP diagram appears that the cork gasket goes between tha plastic plate and the t stat. The cork gasket when i removed it was on top of the t stat and the t stat was in the recessed hole of the plastic spacer then the gasket was on top of the t stat.

When i assemble it with the cork gasket on top, the main gasket does not sit flat on the plastic housing.

also the rubber grommets for the relief springs have no indication of which is front or rear

going to use some grease to hold it together during assembly tomorrow morning

any thoughts?

I think this is the correct order. Aluminum outer cover, gasket, plastic valve body, (cork gasket first then thermostats long end into valve body in the outer two holes, grommets then releif valve in innner two holes then springs inserted and bolt to adapter. Also have to make sure the small holes in the valve body are not clogged and they point the right direction upon assembly.
