G'day guys, tilt motor has been having issues recently so I thought its time to have a crack at pulling it apart and giving it a good clean out. Glad I did as there was that much gunk in it!!

Wel now she's all polished up and spotless and ready to go back together..... Only prob is that when I pulled the bottom off the reservoir there was this thin metal tube just sitting there. It came off somewhere inside when I pulled the bottom off but I never got to see where. There is a mesh filter part that this tube fits over but unless I was to give it a tap with a hammer to lock it in place it wont stay there. Plus one end of the tube is sealed so that would kind of make the filter useless I'm thinking?

I have popped a pic below of the part and where it seems to fit. Any help is appreciated guys!

Ok so its all cleaned and back together, I bought a new solenoid for it because old one had seen better days... New one is EXACTLY the same......... Besides - the old one had a "+" symbol on one of the connections, but the new one doesn't have that, only a "I" and "S" on the smaller terminals... Anyone have a wiring diagram for an Arco SW275 solenoid which is a replacement for the 89-68258A4 solenoid?

Are you asking how to wire the solenoid? If they are identical, wire it the same way as the original. Likely the S post gets the power from the PTT switch, and the I post is grounded.

All sorted, the solenoids are identical, but can also be mounted upside down quite easily. Worked it all out, just put it all back together and tapped the valve can on softly and just filled her up with oil. She works like a brand new trim motor now!

Thanks heaps for all the help!
