1979 Mercury 150HP V6 Spark Plugs can anyone help?????

Just got this motor 79 Mercury 150hp V6 power trim outboard and hearing different things on what are the best spark plugs to run the manual says AC-V40FFM OR CHAMPION L76V so wanted to know what are the best plugs most of you are running in this motor was hearing NGK are better to run but I don't the the correct number as I know heat range is important any opinions would be great to hear with number to buy thanks for any help I get very appreciated..Mich

Spark Plugs are a bit of a controversial issue. NGK BUHW are the correct cross reference. I have run both the Champs and NGK. Pick em.

The AC plugs are a bit more rare,but Wallyworld will probably carry the champs. Automotive parts stores usually have both Champs and NGK.
