1979 rinker 19 v - little cracks around snaps!

I want to know how serious these little cracks are around the snap points on my boat. there hairline but all over the top of the boat. The side walls are rotted and will be rebuilt, do these need to be reinforced? is that what holds the sides up and probally why its cracking? ill get an upclose picture on here soon. hopefully i can just paint them or epoxy them but i would like to avoid having to repaint the whole top. Also if anyone knows things about this boat other than engine specs i would love to know. There is mysterious buttons on the throttle lever that dont seem to do anything etc. i would love to see pictures of the underdeck of this boat if anyones got one they rebuilt. Thanks for any imput.

For certain "hairline" cracks you might consider running a little bead of Super Glue down into each crack and maybe under and around each snap. Super Glue is very watery and thin and will penetrate a crack and set up hard and fast. I've used it for lots of similar applications and it's pretty darn good!

If they are small hairline "spiderweb" crack in teh gelcoat, I'd just leave them alone. Any attempt to "fix" them will most likely accomplish nothing other than to make them look even worse.

I will leave spider cracks alone but a few are not spidered and are all the way through so i will try test site with superglue. I need them to not spread or get worse until i get around to rebuilding side panels that seem to support the white fiberglass rim. thanks for input. it sounds like its not a sign that the whole top is ruined.
