1979 sea ray hull questions

i had a question about a 16 foot center console that is suposidly a sea ray. It looks gutted and re glassed. My main concern is the thickness (or the lack there of) of the sides. THey look 3/8 to 1/2 '' thick. You can push them in slightly. The floor is solid, its just the sides I am worried about. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!<br /><br />- ewt

To give you an idea of comparison. I have a 16' tri hull that has had no modifcations to the sides. The sides of my boat will flex or give just a little bit when pushed on, but it seems normal for the hull. The sides of my boat are problaby 1/4 to 3/8 thick..

I wouldn't worry about it, it doesn't sound any thinner than any other boat. A little flex is a good thing. If it didn't flex, it would simply break if enough force was applied.
