If I'm successful linking to images, there should be two. One is just for fun but the other more serious: it's the guts of my fuel pump.

Looks like I'm gonna need more than the soft parts of this fp. I recently ordered and installed a fuel pump kit for my 45hp merc, but it certainly didn't come with any of the deteriorated parts shown here. (the picture is from my 115)

Question: where can I score a fuel pump kit that will include the deteriorated parts shown, as well as a new diaphram.

Thanks!

If the castings clean up a Mercury marine rebuild kit will have every thing but the plat that holds the ck valves in place and that can be ordered separately.

Two observations and a question, please: FIRST; the item disassembled about 1% as difficult as I anticipated. With a bit of cleaning the phillips heads, the screws backed right out. The plate is in good enough shape to hold the check valves home. SECOND; In my haste, I ordered a fuel pump rebuild kit w/o the check valves and it's on the way. QUESTION: are the checkvalves available on a stand alone, either pair or 'each' basis, and if so from where; or must I order the more inclusive Mercury kit?

Perhaps I should add that both check valves (that to my eye, look identical?) are 10-7 because their little steel bodies are rusted away . . .

The valves are the same but are not available seperatly you might fine a mechanic at a dealership with a couple he'd part with or a donor engine they are all the same valve, other than that you need to get the right kit.
