1) For a couple days I have been trying to find the gasket/seal that goes around the bottom of the engine cover. All I can come up with is mech parts. Before I head down to the dealer does anyone have a good source for this part?

same engine
2) When the motor is in the down position the power tilt does not always want to go up... when I trigger the switch up and down I can hear the solenoid click only when lowering...(as if its trying to lower but its already down)..no click from the solenoid when I try to raise it.
If I take the boat out for a little while it suddenly starts working properly...

Any ideas? Thanks

Re: 1980 envinrude 115 couple??s

Your 1980 model is the three wire system and has a separate box for the trim solenoid located under the rear spashwell of the boat. The box has a fuse for the trim system and a single solenoid which will control the up on the motor only. If the up movement is a problem, or intermittent-it is probably the solenoid sticking-replace it. The down circuit goes direct through the switch in the control box handle. The motor cover rubber seal is probably the same as the 81 models. Part number 325435. Bombardier may have supereceded this by another number by now, but my guess is that the seal is still available.
