1980 Evinrude 115

I'm having trouble with my power trim last week i went
camping, just so happen to walk past my boat at night and I
heard something running out of the blue, it was my power trim
so I disconnected the battery. after I got home hooked it back up
its still running, unplug it from the harness thinking it might be the Sili node
so i unhook it to, I jump the blue and green wires from the hot side of the battery
its working, but want go up or down. Any ideas please

relay contacts welded closed due to dirt or... defective control switch !

try just tapping the relays see if it release or... pull the suspect relay and the the motor will stop

missed that....wont ... check fluid level


possible damage due to continous running.... may need an overall !

Well-----I think that the 1980 model came with a 3 wire motor.----Uses a solenoid for UP and no solenoid for DOWN.
