1980 Evinrude 7.5 Part name?

The above mentioned motor has a broken part. It is a little plastic piece with a roller on it. A flathead screw runs through the plastic just below the roller and screws into the carb. The roller rest against a part of the throttle underneath the flywheel. As you throttle the part under the carb rotates pushing the roller and mystery part forward opening the second butterfly valve on the carb. Does anyone know the name, part number, where to find it?<br /><br />thank you,<br /><br />jim

i think you are taking about the "cam follower" it rides on the throttle lever and the cam on the points plate.when you give it throttle the plate turns and the cam follower rides on the cam and works the throttle lever on the carb. i dont have a part # for that engine but my 9.5 rude uses the kinda setup

Hi shaw...<br /><br />This is the cam follower lever and roller.<br /><br />Lever part number is 323327<br />Roller is 323328<br /><br />The roller should just pop of the lever. If it's in good shape with no groovers in it, it can be reused. Also the allen head screw can be reused out of the old one.<br /><br />These can be gotten at your local Johnny/Rude dealer.
