Hello, I recently purchase a 1980 Evinrude 35HP outboard engine. Started the engine and it spits some water out the exhaust but not the top pee hole. Removed lower housing replaced water pump (used a drill too make sure it was pumping water before reinstall) still no water. I followed from the pee hole too thermostat didn’t find any blockage. I replaced the thermostat but still no luck. After closely examining the thermostat I saw a small wasp dead in the spring. I took my compressor and ran air through the lines & block and I don’t seem to loose pressure. Someone subjected I blast my pressure washer through the lower entrance ( I don’t want to blow a gasket) Only place i haven’t check is inside the block but the engine runs great. I just don’t want too cook it. I have tried to run the engine with muffs & in a drum with no success. Thanks in advance for any subjections.
it’s my first outboard
