Last year I finally convinced my father to give me his 1980 Skeeter. I got the engine to run after replacing the starter solenoid last year, but this year, after I got it started right off the bat, she just cut out. Now I can't get the choke to even engage.
I've already thrown in a new solenoid (cheap part, hoping it would work) to no avail. I get 12.6vt going to the solenoid and 5.36vt when the key is turned. I still can't figureout how to test the voltage to the choke solenoid to see if that is getting any power. I've also checked the fuse next to the starter solenoid and it seems to be in good shape.
Any ideas on what the problem could be would be awesome
