When my motor is running .....while on the trailer. I've noticed the fuel sediment bowl is only about 1/4 way full of fuel. Is this normal? I am wondering if once I put it in the water and apply more speed if It will run out of fuel. I did a little research and had two different opinions on it. Once says must remain full and other say no it doesn't.....so who is right?

The glass filter bowls on our OMCs were always half full and the engines still managed to be drinking the gas like it they were going to quit making the the stuff

Thanks for the "it does not need to remain full." question. However mine is running totally empty and then the engine quits as it just ran out of gas.

1/4 full and empty are two different things!

Does the bowl fill while squeezing the bulb and go empty while running? Fix the fuel pump.

when I pump the hand pump the bow will fill mostly to top but not fully. I had the pump rebuilt by a marine mechanic. Then I've rebuilt it two time. and replace the check valves once. Even go a different pump body and put it on..same results.
