Hello, Trying to get this engine figured out. Doing a pressure test on block and confused. there's the large hose from thermostat holder to water pump like 2", there's two lines that come off thermostat holder one goes to left manifold other goes to right like 1 1/2, then there's a piece of 3/4 heater hose that comes off thermostat holder and goes back to oil cooler then???? Question is is that the fresh water line that brings water to the engine? I've never seen one that small if that is what it is. Thanks Randy

Don't know your engine real well, but do you have power steering? I think some of 'em ran lines back to the power steering.

I do have power steering, should there be a large line that carries water from lake to engine

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,..... They're usually an inch hose, but I donno 'bout ole Stringer drives,....
No idea what it's supposed to be,....

If the fittin' on the t-stat housin' is that size, 'n the fittin' from the drive is that size, 'n the oil cooler is that size,....
I'm gonna Guess, it might be the proper size,....

Yes ,that 3/4 line is fresh water from the water pump. Got problems?

I do went to pressure test engine and put the air to it and does not build anything.

Ayuh,.... How did ya isolate the block from the rest of the coolin' system,..??

Where were you hearin' the air escape, when ya tried to pressurize it,..??
