I just got back from a week of fishing in Canada and had a very frustrating problem. One startup it would run fine, the next startup it would lose thrust past half throttle. It was pretty random. I would slowly start to increase the throttle (tiller) and sometimes it was fine, other times it would bog down at half throttle and feel like it was going to stall if I didn't ease off the throttle. I could putz along at half throttle and feel a little bit of surges every now and then but I could get where I wanted to go. Next time, nothing's wrong. I checked for vacuum leaks, gas can cap venting, fuel filter (emptied and cleaned), etc. Never figured out what the problem is and now I'm at home with just a large trash can with water in it to figure out what's wrong. Can anyone help me out here? Thanks for any help/advice.
