1981 15hp rude does it have a charging system?

She is a great running motor and it was an old sail boat model with the 20" shaft, aslo with pull and electric start. Since most most electric models these days have the chargin system, i was wondering if it has a charging system on mine?

It's got a rectifier, so it at least did charge originally.

It would seem to have a charging or lighting circuit on it. The electric start model lists a stator as opposed to a coil.

The starter switch doesnt allow a curent to flow back to the battery...is there a way i can wire up a switch to do so?

if anyone has a picture of a layout piece by piece of the charging system would help alot!

i have found everything that says i have a charging system...but i cant seem to find the charging wire...is there anyone with a picture or a description of this mysteryious wire???

It would be the battery cables. Some of the sailboat motors had a socket on the side or front of them for the lighting circuit output.

could you point out the number here for which cable or area the charging current would come from?

It comes from the rectifier, which isn't shown. It's typically a red lead from the rectifier.

so according to my model No. i should have the charging system...but i dont have the rectifier...its strange. im very disapointed!

It's possible someone removed the rectifier. Check for the presence of the other components, like the stator. Look at the BRP parts diagram if you don't know what it looks like.
