Does this year model have reeds in the carb? If so, if they go bad would this cause my flooding problem. The plugs are wet and does this carb have fixed jets?

The reed valves are after the carburetor.----Check for spark first.

Also check your compression.

Also check your compression.

Compression is 122-145 respectively plugs are wet is why I questioned if there were reed valves in this year model could possibly cause flooding and not fire fuel in cylinders. Engine was running fine at the time and bogged down and died. thought it was a fuel issue at first but with wet plugs it seemed to be flooded.

That's a lot of difference in your compression readings.

its not a fixed jet carb, was it idling when it died?

No it did not was at full throttle and when it started to lose power I backed off to idle position and and engine died and would not re-fire. When I got it back home cleaned/dried plugs put on muffs and it started but didn't sound right for a few seconds and died again and haven't got it to start again. Plugs are wet with fuel which led me to possible flooding issue.
