1981 7.5 johnson water leak in gearcase

I have a small stream of water coming out of the spit hole (for lack of better name) and usuall that is enough but now there is water leaking out of everywhere the bottom part of my motor cover is filled with water. Does anyone know why my motor is doing this.

It is hard to tell without a picture but you may just have a leaky hose going to the tell tale, pee hole and now.........spit hole. Best is to run it in a barrel adn get a powerful light and just keep looking till you find it. Rick.

i have already replaced the hose. could it be a seal or o ring that needs to be replaced. Ill try to get a picture of it but my starter cord broke so it may be a few days.
