The other day it wouldn't start. I cleaned the carb. Using aerosol cleaner and taking everything apart that I could, I didn't see any gunk come out, and it looked clean inside. Could not/did not remove/poke through the nozzle/jet at the bottom coming up from the float bowl. DID spray cleaner into it and let it sit. Reassembled, started up and ran fine on flusher.

Yesterday, it ran fine until it died twice in a row at WOT on the way home. I did hit a log or stump a little while before this happened. Fires right back up, idles fine. Seems to surge a little bit and maybe lacking power.

Fuel is dripping/seeping from the bottom of the float bowl I noticed today. It's not tight enough?
Water is peeing just fine from P-hole.
Is there a high speed adjustment or something that I missed?
I'm at my wits end.
Maybe I should invest in a nice row-boat?

if fuel is leaking, i doubt its getting the right fuel to air ratio.

are you sure gaskets/orings are in good condition and seated properly?

I'm not sure about anything at this point . I've never done anything like this before. I used new gaskets for the carb, but I didn't replace the O-ring on the float bowl. I'll break it back down and check it out.
Is there anything else I should be checking/ replacing?

i dont know much about outboards, but i do know motors...so im just applying all that to here.

carbs are very picky. a few things that raise a huge red flag. leaking fuel, and that you didnt clean or blow out anything. something could have settled in a tiny hole and is now stuck.
like you said, you should just redo everything and see what you find.
