Just bought this boat and motor,can someone tell me if I can hook a water hose up to this motor,and how yor go about doing it,to see if it runs ok before I take it to the lake.Thanks
Your best bet is to use a big trash barrel just don't put it in gear.Put the barrel right up against the mount bracket and fill it to the top.this will assure pumping water and back pressure close to that on the water.
Hose testing only proves the motor runs.Its not unusual for a motor to run on a hose and not in the water.If you don't know the age/condition of the impeller you should change it.
