Canadian made # 7180524 1982 7.5 hp.. I have not seen the motor and do not know the history of it.. I was told that forward gear is where neutral should be and neutral is where reverse is. And for reverse he has to really force it and it pops out of reverse. He is only shifting while running or by turning the prop if not running. The girl that owns the motor bought it last year and didn't use reverse. This year it would not start and my nephew found the low speed needle was turned all the way in. He reset the needle and it runs well. She asked him about the shifting. I am not familiar with this motor so if anyone has any ideas? Thanks
