tilt tube link arm mechanism. I need everything between the cable and the engine but there is no reference to any of it in the manual. I have seen two evinrude link arms advertised on e-bay but they have two different part numbers. Any help appreciated guys.

Illustrated Parts Breakdown (IPB) shows the tilt tube and associated parts for the '82 & '83 in the exhaust housing group. It's shown in the midsection group for '84.

The steering arm which connects between the cable and the motor is shown under steering connector kit.

That should get you most of what you need.

Try http://www.ishopmarine.com/ishop/jsp/AsplIsmHomeCcat.jsp?reqFor=29 and look up your engine (Evinrude & Johnson links just above Yamaha section).

Your Bombardier dealer can get you the link arm kit (with hardware). P/N 173700, about $ 70.
