Details: bought an older unit and trim and tilt seem to work fine except that the trim will not stay out under power. There was a small leak on the tilt end cap and another small leak on one of the trim end caps.
I bought the OEM reseal kits for the tilt and for the trim cylinders and have installed them.

- Will the reseal kit fix this or am I likely facing internal issues?
- There is some scoring in the tilt cylinder (and ram) but the tilt is not really the problem I am having. I can't see how this could affect the trim but am open to advice.
- is ATF just as good as TnT fluid? I've read various threads and some say yes; others say no.
- does anyone know if a 1990 johnson TnT would fit a 1982?
