1982 evinrude 150 no spark

Hey folks I’ve got an old 1982 evinrude 150 v6. I’ve got spark on one side of the engine but the other side is dead as can be. Ive changed both cdi boxes because they were old and crusty especially the side that’s dead. I cleaned up the grounds on both. Still nothing. I wonder if the trigger is bad because it has leads to both sides but I’m not sure how that works. Can one side of it go bad?
