1982 Evinrude manual?

I just bought an 84 bass tracker with a 70hp 82' evinrude on it and I would like to get the original books on it. Was hoping someone might have a link where I can download them. It's always been my policy to keep the books on stuff just in-case. I'd really feel like a dupe if I took my boat to the mechanic to get something fixed that anyone with a book could have fixed simply IE a killswitch or something I didn't know about.

If anyone has the book on an 84 bass tracker 3 that'd be awesome as well.

Doubt you'll find a place to download the factory manuals from. Since they are copyrighted, you'll need to get them from the original publisher. Have a look at this website: outboardbooks.com

I agree, it all depends on one's preferences. I have paper manual for my Johnson but if I need to find something fast and read I use the same manual (purchased separately) in pdf. pdf quality is amazing and it prints in nice pages.
Did not pull off the shelf my paper manual ever since I've got a pdf on my computer and iPad.
Price difference is considerable too: $40 vs. $8 (for pdf).
Paper manual - used as paper weight and pdf used every time I need something.
Go figure.

The advertised manual is a service manual is sold as a "set". Some years the factory sold the service manual as set-including all hp for that model year. I've used those factory manuals and feel that they are somewhat difficult to use. OMC only did this for a short time, then went back to specific, individual manuals for hp families, which I prefer. The offering does appear to be a factory manual with a factory part number. Likely that is the only type factory manual avail for that year.

My FSM for 1983 is the same way; all-inclusive. It still beats the snot out of a clymer / selec however!
