I noticed that my cam follower has a worn mark going down the center. So i have bought a new one to replace it but not sure how the old one pops off just yet. Is it machine pressed or should it just pop off?

I have a 1983 60hp and I'm not sure how it's fastened. It could be pressed and peened. I'll go look in the morning to see how mine is and get back to ya.

The older engines had that oring to hold the cam roller on the shaft. The part was evidently modified some time later. It's the same part number, but there is a lip inside the end of the cam roller on these newer versions. If you push the new cam roller onto the shaft, it will now "click" in place. (the lip will catch the existing groove on the shaft.) No need for the oring.
