Took the flywheel off by removing the eight bolts instead of a flywheel puller now I'm not sure that I put it back on the same way it came off. May be a bolt or two either way. Is there a way to check without getting a .464 dial indicator and measuring from TDC?

It is real easy. Set motor to TDC using a screwdrive thru the top plug hole. Reinstall flywheel with TDC mark on decal pointing to timing pointer.

Remember, the flywheel can only be installed in 8 ways. Soe 360 degrees/8 equals 45 degrees. You will easily know if you are 45 degrees off.

When I turned the motor to TDC on cylinder one the pointer was aligned with "0". There are a series of numbers on the flywheel including .464. I don't recall seeing TDC. I'll check again. It seems to fire but is hard starting. Actually, I didn't get it to run so I turned the flywheel one bolt. It sounded about the same.
