1982 Merc 25hp carb float setting

Cleaned and put in carb kit. Set float at 1/32" as directed but motor still chuggs a little at idle. Am going to put in a set of Boyesen Power Reeds - should I set float at 1/32" or maybe reset level with housing? Would really appreciate suggestions. Thanks in advance. <br />Jim

LEAVE THE FLOAT SETTING ALONE WITH THE POWER REEDS, YOU WILL NEED TO CHANGE THE JETS TO GET ALL YOU CAN OUT OF THE REEDS.ONE TO TWO SIZES BIGGER SHOULD GET YOU WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR OUT OF THE REEDS.
