What's the cold starting procedure for this engine? It doesn't have choke flaps on the carbs but an enrichment valve and "push to choke" on the key. I need to put the throttle right down as far as it will go to get it started then after it's been running it starts easily afterwards.

Pump up the primer bulb. Turn key on and push in. Count to 10 while holding the key in, then start it.

I disagree slightly. Pump up primer, put up cold startlever, hold choke while cranking. After motor starts, release choke lever, and her warm up.

There's no start lever, just "throttle only" button and advance the trottle lever. I have to advance the throttle as far as it will go to get it going. Will try the 10 second rule.

I have a 84'. Mine is a PITA to start too. You kind of get the hang of it after a while. Mine likes the choke button a lot. Takes much longer when it's very hot and humid out. They hate me at the boat ramp.....LOL. Fires right up once warmed up though.
