1983 70 hp Evinrude motor .

My 70 hp rude does not have tilt and trim , It only has power assist lift , I was looking at adding a tilt and trim unit to it , from the an aftermarket set-up like CMC . or would it be better to have a jack plate instead of the tilt and trim . I have this motor on a Lowe 170 Bass boat . Any thoughts ?

I'd try the CMC as they are easy to install.

Are they better than a factory one ? If so tilt and trim is better than a jack plate .I 'm new to the whole adjust your motor to make the boat run better , I had a lot tiller motor never had big enough horsepower to make a difference .
