1983 75 hp Johnson

I will be pushing a 8000 lb. 8' wide x 30' long flat bottom houseboat with this motor. Any ideas what prop to start with. I'm sure we wont be going over 10 mph.

Thats a tall order for 75 hp. If it were me I would start around a 7p 4 blade stainless. Hopefully some one with more experiance with houseboats will chime in.

Reaching rpm will be difficult its almost like hooking it to the dock.
Perhaps a prop intended for a pontoon or some other difficult to push boat.
4 big elefant ear blades not too much pitch. If your in a houseboat area you may want to ask around.
Your 75 will use about 8 gph (gallons per hour) at wot.Will probably go almost as fast at 1/2 throttle.
