you guys told me to be careful with this one!!-on the lake-running good- we stopped for a little while-restarted-try to go into reverse-engine dies-restart-forward fine-reverse-stalls-restart-trolling in no wake-hot engine alarm-stalls-now when turning key-starter will turn maybe three turns and thats it- starter gets real hot after 2 or 3 times trying-noticed top plug wire getting burnt- did engine seize??? i dont think it would crank at all if seize happened- i know this engine is not very reliable-what are the options and possible cost?? thanks- should have listened to you the first time-crawl before walk- hehehe

Try turning the motor by hand compression should be the only thing that makes it hard to turn.<br />The The plug wire shouldnt get burnt unless you have some kind of short.I wonder if something was shorting when you put it into reverse. If motor turns good by hand starter is probably at fault.<br />Do a search for some other starter posts There is at least one other on a Force.If you get the motor to work trade it in.I used to root for Force<br />to make in the big time but they couldnt cut it.<br /> Just think how many E/J and Ms are out there and how many years they have been built. How few Forces were built and all the problem posts.<br />you see. Cut and run.But remember no motor is any better than the care it has been given.<br /> Good luck.
