Hey guys, I am helping my moms husband replace their tilt trim motor on their pontoon boat and I have a wiring issue. He took the pump off and replaced it before I became involved and he doesn't remember how it was wired to the 2 solenoids. I have 12 volts on both up and down from the switch. My first question is which solenoid is for up and which is for down? From the switch I have 3 wires, 1 white, and 2 green w/white stripe. I have 12 volts on white when up is pressed on the switch and 12 on one of the green/white when down is pressed. On the back side of that connector at the solenoids I have a white which matches up to 12 volts from the switch and a green wire which matches up to down from the switch then a red w/blue stripe that I don't have any idea what it is doing. Does anyone have a photo or schematic of this model tilt trim? The serial number is 6341885. Thanks

Gee, That should not be hard to wire. Usually blue is the up circuit, and green is the down circuit. On a three wire motor, black is ground. So power to the solenoid with the blue motor wire for up. Power to the solenoid with the green wire for down.

The three prong connector on the PTT unit should have 12VDC to supply the PTT switch, and power should be sent back to the PTT unit on one of the other wires to activate it for up and down. That obviously means the PTT unit is connected directly to the battery.
