1983 Addictor + 1986 Evinrude 25 Not Planing

Hey iBoats members

I have an Addictor Mini Boat, and I need some help with getting it to plane. After it does get on plane, (after some encouragment of me sitting farther up front) it will go about 35 mph, and I wouldn't really want it to go much faster. I have heard a lot of mixed comments on hydrofoils/whale tails ect. I think I want to try it, but I want other people's opinion on it Thanks!

I think the motor manufacture/s would have incorporated them long ago if they were truly effective. Just my opinion.

Sounds more like a propeller issue to me. What is your RPM? Dropping down one pitch size may help it get over the hump by bringing the RPM up a couple hundred... if you're not maxxed out already.
