Wanted to post on what I found as the problem and solution....
As I was pumping the bulb I noticed it was not getting firm/hard, as it has in the past..
I removed all the plugs and placed a piece of paper in front of the cylinders, and turned over the engine for several seconds.
What I noticed was a mist of fuel was coming out of cylinder #3 and not #1 or #2....
Now I suspect the fuel pump. I am thinking I'm getting fuel into #3 flooding the cylinder and shorting out the plug.
I inspected the fuel pump and found a ruptured diaphram gasket. Have ordered a rebuild kit Keeping my fingers crossed!

A hole in the diaphragm would feed excess fuel down into the #3 cyl.
Bet that fixes the problem :)

JerryJerry05.....I pulled the fuel pump and checked the diaphragm and other gaskets, and there it was... a split in the lower part of the diaphragm....allowing fuel to flow in...have ordered the parts to rebuild and hope this works....
makes sense on whats happening ...will update when parts are replaced....! Thanks for yours and others input....been a real
journey!
