I have a newly rebuilt (by a professional) '83 Evinrude the will run fine in reverse, idle, but stalls when I accelerate forward. If I slam the throttle forward it will accelerate just fine and after that it will run totally normal and I can accelerate from idle without it stalling. I run the motor at least once a week. I noticed that this issue started after a couple of days of light trolling, but after each time I ran it WOT throttle for a few minutes. I am going to try using some star tron because I read that it can help decarbon the carbs and adjust the carbs to be a bit more rich.
Any thoughts or help would be very appreciated.
